Welcome to Cairns School of Chinese Inc.
We are an ACNC registered not-for-profit incorporated association based in Cairns aiming to promote Chinese literacy education. By fulfilling the requirements outlined in auDA Published Policies, Cairns School of Chinese is a recognised Australian education and training entity.
We are committed to providing quality Chinese language courses for all P-12 (K-12) students. We also deliver Queensland core subjects in Chinese language to help English as Second Language (ESL) students from Chinese speaking countries. To cater for community needs, after school adult Chinese language classes and culture awareness training are also available to the public.
As a multi-cultural learning community, we are focused on a holistic approach to education seeking to enhance the educational, emotional, cultural and social development of all learners. We model our teaching and learning on contemporary practices that challenge each individual learner to achieve their full potential.
For Internal or external Year 10 – Year 12 students who study HSK courses with us and successfully pass the HSK Level 2 or above exams at our test centre, Cairns School of Chinese will apply for Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) credit(s) through the Confucius Institute at the University of Queensland and Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) on behalf of the students.
IMPORTANT: By enrolling in our class/classes, you agree that photos and videos of you (adult student) or your child/children (student under 18 years old) taken in the classroom(s) are permitted to be published on our website or social media pages unless written communications are made before enrolment. Cairns School of Chinese Inc. will ensure the photos and videos published are appropriate and present positive image of you and the school.
