Welcome to Cairns School of Chinese.
We are a non-profit school of Chinese in Cairns, Queensland. By fulfilling the requirements outlined in auDA Published Policies, Cairns School of Chinese is now a recognised Australian education and training entity.
We are committed to providing quality Chinese language courses for all P-12 (K-12) students. We also deliver Queensland core subjects in Chinese language to help English as Second Language (ESL) students from Chinese speaking countries. To cater for community needs, after school adult Chinese language classes and culture awareness training are also available to the public. In higher education sector, we will be delivering recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses in either English or Chinese in 2017 to both senior school students or adults.
As a multi-cultural learning community, we are focused on a holistic approach to education seeking to enhance the educational, emotional, cultural and social development of all learners. We model our teaching and learning on contemporary practices that challenge each individual learner to achieve their full potential.
For Internal or external Year 10 – Year 12 students who study HSK courses with us and successfully pass the HSK Level 2 or above exams at our test centre, Cairns School of Chinese will apply for Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) credit(s) through the Confucius Institute at the University of Queensland and Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) on behalf of the students.
